“Create your own visual style…let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.”-Orson Welles
At some point in our lives, we need to let some things go.
This is especially true when these things are taking up too much space in our closets such as in the case of an individual who is a serial hoarder of clothes. Unfortunately, parting with some of your clothes may seem like a challenge considering that these are sartorial styles you have curated yourself. After all, you used to identify strongly with some of these and parting with them will come as no easy task. However, take a step back and assess the contents of your wardrobes then ask yourself: Do you really need to that feather boa? Or five wide brimmed hats? Regardless of what it is you have in excess of, know that you have to get rid of some of them if you wish to have a better style.
Sure, some of these items might still be integral to your look, know that a pivotal aspect in upgrading your style is growth—and that means letting go of the looks and ensembles you are used to whether that may wholesale diamond supply clothes or something else. In any case, here are just some of the things in your closet and consequently, your new look, definitely does not need:
1.) Skin-baring and Skin-tight Dresses
Sure, these sultry dresses are great for showcasing your curves at the club, but if you are not even going to a club anytime soon, what are you hanging on to them for? Moreover, these dresses might have been cool about four years ago, but wearing them to clubs now seem tacky and reeks a tad bit of desperation and attention-seeking. Today, showing less skin is in, and while it is admirable to be proud of your curves, you need not call attention to them all the time. These dresses are over, so it is time you stopped wearing them.2.) Denim Leggings
To avoid confusion, a pair of jeggings is still an in-thing, but denim leggings are definitely out. While jeggings give you the comfort of leggings while having the look of a traditional pair of denim jeans, denim leggings, on the other hand, are just unflattering. These elastic waisted, stretchy and pocket-less creations do nothing to flatter your body and would not be a good look on you.3.) Ultra Low-Waist
Having to tug your pants up now and then is incredibly annoying. But what is even more irksome and visually atrocious is flashing anyone who might happen to see a sliver of your undergarments for that day. It would even be more of an eyesore if your crack or whale tail would be showing. Do not be that person and definitely do not stray to that path of wearing jeans you consistently have to tug.4.) Fedoras
Fedoras have been receiving a lot of flak online—and with good reason. While they were trendy and even hip in the 2010s, they do not look as great as they once did today. Adding a fedora to any outfit—unless you are going out to the beach would make your style seem dated. Keep away from it.5.) Counterfeit Handbags
We all know knock-offs are cheap, but if your counterfeited goods cannot even get the logo or the name right, then you might as well ditch it. Even then, you would not be fooling anyone with your class A goods. Instead, cut the designers some slack and buy authentic products that are settled for non-designer labels instead. Counterfeit goods would look tacky, and you would be effectively contributing to a whole industry that operates illegally. Not exactly the kind of thing you want to attach yourself with, right?Image Source
