Organized Closets: Eight Tips and Techniques for Organizing Your Wardrobes

“If you want to improve your life immediately, clean out a closet. Often it is what we hold onto that holds us back”-Cheryl Richardson

Organizing our otherwise perpetually disorganized closets can be liberating and fulfilling.
Apart from discarding items you no longer wear, it also allows you to revisit old sartorial ensembles that you might wish to start rocking again. More importantly, an arranged and organized wardrobe allows you to see your clothes better which means you have better choices for mixing and matching clothing resulting to an overall improved ensemble. Unfortunately, organizing closets is only the easy part—the difficult part is learning how to maintain them—especially if you are someone with quite a lot of clothes. So, to preclude the contents of your closets from falling into disarray once more and having your wholesale bob marley clothes mixing in with your more contemporary pieces, here are some of the best closet organizing tips to keep in mind:

Hang your clothes strategically

One of the ways your closets can easily fall into disarray is hanging up clothes without care. This means just randomly hanging clothes regardless of what kind of piece they are. To address this, ensure that you section off what you hang. Hang your blouses, skirts and tops above the closet section with built-in shelves. Dresses, trousers and pants should go into the space with nothing underneath.

Have bypass doors

With bypass doors, you do not need to walk from end to end just to search for what you need. With them, your clothes are concealed from view and can easily be accessed by moving them side to side. More importantly, they are easy to install by yourself.

 Consider using an entire room

If you have way too many clothes that you cannot let go of in a diminutive closet, perhaps the only way to address this is to have an even bigger closet. However, if you are not pressed for real estate space, go ahead, take the extra mile and use an entire room for your clothes instead. In this way, you do not have to worry about never having enough space as the entire room is dedicated solely for your clothes.

 Organize accessories and small garments

In lieu of stuffing undergarments and other intimates into one drawer, organize them neatly in makeshift shelves like wicker baskets. Keep them out of sight by stashing them inside these makeshift drawers, they would not only make your closets look organized and neat, they look pretty as well.

Use the closet’s wall spaces

Closet space is pretty much like prime real estate—especially to women who have an affinity for hoarding clothes. In this regard, you should be able to strategically use every available space in the closet. So, in lieu of hanging your scarves, belts and other accessories on hangers and taking up valuable rod space, attach a towel bar to the unused wall space of your closet instead. There you can have a display of your sartorial or accessory collection. Plus, it makes your closets look super cute upon opening.

 Use built in shelves

Having enough room to store your shoes and clothes might seem enough. But to other fashionistas who capitalize on looking good, they do not stop at just looking for enough space for their clothes and shoes—the accessories need to go somewhere as well. In this regard, you can use the built in drawers of your closet for storing sunglasses, jewelry or other sartorial accessories. Be sure to arrange them properly so as to prevent them from being jumbled together.

Have a shoe organizer

It might be that some of your shoes are impossible to store in a closet. In this regard, you might fare off better if you tried using a shoe organized instead that would not take up any space in your closet which allows you to maximize its limited area.

Hang your closet rods higher

The higher up your rods are, the more items you can store below it. Sure, it does not exactly make for the closet’s overall aesthetic appeal but it does wonders in improving storage space. Once you have hung it higher, you may opt to put a little dresser or even a shoe rack underneath the garments hung up. Alternatively, you may even hang a second rod beneath it.

What Is Urban Clothing?

The way people dress has evolved so much over the years. From clothing that covers almost every inch of the body to skimpy outfits, from monochromatic ensembles to colorful ones, from formal attires to more casual pieces, and many more. Among these types of clothing or fashion style that has grown in popularity in the past few years is urban or hip hop fashion. This kind of fashion is also sometimes referred to as street fashion because it is driven by the type of clothing that emerges from the streets or the neighborhoods.  Urban fashion initially became popular in the 1980s and 1990s, when rock stars started wearing clothing styles that fall under this category. Although many designers have created their own urban clothing lines, the styles and trends are often dictated by what people see on the streets and on hip hop and other musical artists.  Because of the popularity of hip hop fashion, there are numerous hip hop clothing lines nowadays and big designer brands also e

Smart Fashion: Five Excellent Reasons to Rent Clothes Instead of Buying Them

“My clothes have a story. They have an identity. They have a character and a purpose. That is why they become classics. Because they keep on telling a story. They are still telling it” –Vivienne Westwood To most fashion-forward individuals, renting clothes is a rather unorthodox idea. Some might even dismiss it as downright ludicrous while the rest would even regard it as the height of blasphemy. After all, clothes are personal effects and they reflect our individual characters and personalities insomuch that renting them can feel like we are adapting to a new persona. Sure, we get it. Renting clothes does not hold much appeal and may not even be a popular option to most seeing as most individuals would rather buy the clothes they like outright rather than scour rental shops for it. This is especially true for individuals with peculiar taste in apparel such as those provided by a wholesaleBob Marley retailer and the like. However, despite your inner protests and qualms, ther
